๐ฟ Practical Sustainability Week 2025

We begin the week gently, getting to know each other and the land. We explore the abundance mindset, permaculture system thinking, and how to purify grey and black water locally by using natural methods. Includes a guided tour of the project and water systems.

What's in the soil beneath your feet โ and can you build with it? Today we explore the power of local materials. We'll dive into the theory behind rocket stoves; the ultimate, sustainable, do-it-yourself wood stove, and get hands-on with clay plaster from our own land. Together weโll learn how to recognize workable earth, test mixes, and build confidence in using it.

This day is dedicated to edible ecosystems. In the morning, Lukas (forest gardener and ecological designer) will guide us through Lโรฎle de Bambecqueโs food forest and teach the principles of designing edible gardens and perennial systems. Weโll explore plant selection, maintenance tips, and what it means to design in harmony with nature.

In the afternoon, we shift focus to the vegetable garden. We'll apply permaculture principles to the edible annual garden โ from soil care, mulching, and worm composting to seed saving and companion planting. Expect lots of hands-on learning

A day full of wild flavors, ancient preserving techniques, and creative simplicity in the kitchen. Aleksandra (Compliments of Nature) will guide us through fermentation, sustainable cooking, and the art of preserving seasonal abundance โ with heart and hands. Weโll finish the day with a beautiful, nourishing meal shared from the landโs gifts.
